Charu's Sri Lanka

Charu, is a chef and restaurateur from Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is extremely passionate about food & cooking and it’s evident in her super tasty dishes! Join Charu’s class to learn how to cook wholesome and authentic Sri Lankan food the whole family will love and be inspired by this courageous woman. In every class you’ll be greeted with a tasty appetizer and ginger tea and then together we’ll learn to make 2 outstanding curries that will join the family dinner rotation (no doubt!). Charu’s impressive repertoire includes lamb curry, calamari curry, chicken curry, spicy fish curry and her healthy and tasty dhal curry. We’ll also make a fancy side salad and rice (like biryani or aromatic coconut rice) to accompany your curries and something a little more cheeky, like Charu’s deep fried veggie cutlet or samosa! And for dessert you will explore Sri Lankan sweets like wattalapam (a cardamom spiced coconut custard!!)
